Save the Date! Growing Pains: Scaling up the Reforestation Pipeline. The 2023 Joint Meeting of the Forest Nursery Association of BC and Western Forestry and Conservation Nursery Association will take place at the Kennedy School (5736 N.E. 33rd Ave., Portland, OR 97211) in Portland, OR on Sept. 19-21, 2023.

The 2023 Joint Annual Meeting of the Western Forest and Conservation Nursery Association and Forest Nursery Association of British Columbia will cover topics to address growing pains for scaling up the reforestation pipeline. Speakers will cover topics in seed and seedling technology, integrated pest management, outplanting practices, and innovative new strategies to meet increasing seedling production and reforestation demands.

 

Chief Forester’s Standards for Seed Use

 

On June 18th, 2021 the Chief Forester, Diane Nicholls, released a memo informing seed users and producers of the intent to amend the Chief Forester’s Standards for Seed Use to remove the Geographic Based Seed Transfer (GBST) option as of August 2022.
