About the FNABC

The objectives of the association are to:

  1. promote and foster the aims of forest nurseries in the Province of BC and elsewhere where the association's members may be engaged
  2. educate government, industry and the public in the benefits of growing forest seedlings and the sustainable management of forest lands
  3. promote and support the continuous improvement of health, safety and environmental responsibility in forest seedling nurseries
  4. encourage continuing education, research and continual improvement of forest seedling production
  5. facilitate communication between forest nurseries.

Membership in the associaton can be in one of the following categories:

  1. Member - an individual or representative of an organization, either public or private, who are actively engaged in forest nursery operations, research/extension or administration
  2. Student Member - a person attending a university or college as a student in horticulture, forestry or a related field
  3. Supporting Member - a person or organization who has assisted the activities of the association by providing financial and other support.

The association holds an annual general meeting in September which includes presentations on a variety of topics pertinent to the industry, a business meeting, vendor displays, field trips, award presentations, and a banquet.
